This approach benefits people who can keep transporation and other costs to a minimum, and have more time to spend with family, education, or career development. And benefits us all by minimizing the impact of commuting on our environment and quality of life in Santa Barbara.

Casa de Las Fuentes is a unique approach to serving those who work downtown within walking distance of their jobs, but In many ways, the Housing Authority serves our workforce throughout all of its properties. The majority of our non-senior residents are working families - participating and contributing to our workforce, our economy and our community.

Casa de Las Fuentes studio and one-bedrooms are not only beautiful to look at, but were designed to keep Santa Barbara beautiful… and working.

One of the Housing Authority’s newest affordable housing complexes is Casa de Las Fuentes, located at 922 Castillo Street. These beautiful new units are available exclusively to downtown employees, and the highest preference is given to those applicants without cars.

  • Below market fixed monthly rents range from $481 to $851
  • Maximum 2 persons per unit
  • Income Limits: 1 person household – maximum $36,250/yr, 2 person household – maximum $62,160/yr
  • Highest preference is given to those applicants without cars
